A small group of neighbors in Patapsco Park met at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Wilmore, 200 block of Bishop Avenue to worship God. Later during the year, the group moved their services to a tent.

1929–1949

Construction of the first church is completed.

Reverend Jasper Watson assumes the pastorate of Community Baptist Church
-
Church debt is retired; property deeds are conveyed to the church and its successors
-
Reverend Alfred H. Elliott becomes the 2nd pastor of Community Baptist Church

1950 – 1970

Reverend Elliott resigns

Reverend John L. Leary becomes the 3rd pastor; he resigns after six years of service

Reverend Salters Burgess is elected as 4th pastor of the church
-
Construction of the second church edifice begins and is completed under the leadership of Reverend Burgess

1970 – 1980

Church becomes incorporated

Three additional properties are purchased during this decade

Reverend Milton N. Lemon becomes the 5th pastor of the church in the bicentennial year of 1976

Ground is broken for construction of the present church

Construction completed; mortgage burned in a period of four years

Reverend Milton N. Lemon receives degree of Doctor of Divinity
